Dr. Maria Scunziano-Singh, M.D., NMD (naturopathic medical doctor), is a physician with a quest for true healing and the wholeness of wellness in and of the human mind and body. A graduate of New York Medical College, ’93 and the Clayton College of Natural Health, 2011, “Dr. Maria” was to embark on a journey to help others truly understand the meaning of health and how it can be maintained. Her dictum is that health is not to be taken for granted and none can exist in the absence of sincerity, willingness and complete awareness of the value of every aspect of life. Health is attainable when the person is fully conscious of the totality of the environment both within and external to the body.
Dr. Maria has been an integral part of the Auroveda Foundation, devoting her time to providing holistic integral health care, teaching through lectures/classes, authoring articles and instructive comprehensive written materials on health and wellness, directing a beautiful sustainable community garden and assisting her husband and partner in administration of a large medical practice in Florida known as Access Health Care.
Access Health Care is a multi-specialty practice that commenced in 2001 by Dr. Maria and Dr. Pariksith Singh and has grown to be one of the largest in Florida with more than a thousand employees and servicing several thousand people in many communities. Its vision and mission are to provide excellence and highest quality care. Dr. Maria, with the support of Dr. Pariksith, has made every effort to provide a holistic approach to her daily routine with Access.
Dr. Maria is the mother of four beautiful children from whom she is dedicated to and inspired by to continue her work. An experienced mother, physician, and advocate for complete health, she has also co-founded a new center of wellness for the understanding and advancement of conscious healing and education in her community: Well Come OM Center for Integral Healing and Education. A combination of lectures, conscious cooking classes, blended East and West mental and physical health evaluations and treatments, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, herbal and essential oil therapies, massage, reiki, tai chi with other forms of mind, body and spirit development and much more will be available at this campus. Referrals to and from the Center by other health professionals are welcome. The “Center” is dedicated to people all ages and will be a home to all who practice and provide conscious methods for the attainment of wellness.
It is her hope that these efforts will help foster more interest both near and far to make a powerful impact on the health of the entire universe.
Pariksith Singh, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Singh received his medical education at Sawai Man Singh Medical College in Rajasthan, India (where he was awarded honors in internal medicine and physiology). His residency training occurred at All India Institute of Medical Services (New Delhi, India) and Mount Sinai Elmhurst Services, (Elmhurst, New York). Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Singh relocated to Florida and worked for several years before establishing Access Health Care, LLC in 2001. He has been our fearless leader ever since!
Dr. Singh determined to study medicine at age 15, out of a desire to help others. Although this sounds idealistic, Dr. Singh helps his patients and the Access family every day – his genuine care for others’ well-being is evident in his interactions with patients – he remembers something personal (not health related) about every one of his patients! Dr. Singh finds it gratifying to be able to help save a life or a limb – he is committed to educating patients on healthy lifestyles and successful management of chronic conditions. He has admitting privileges at Bayfront Health Spring Hill and Bayfront Health Brooksville Hospitals, Oak Hill Hospital, and Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.
Dr. Singh and Dr. Scunziano have four active children, who certainly keep them on their toes! In addition to family activities, Dr. Singh’s hobbies include writing poetry, literature, religion and philosophy.
Dr. Singh also dedicates much of his time to philanthropic endeavors, and is passionate about supporting the Wounded Warrior Project in Hernando County.
As one of Access Health Care’s founders, Dr. Singh has put his heart into caring for our patients and staff. He is a tireless, compassionate healer, and his commitment to quality health care and service is evident in his interactions with each and every member of the Access family!
